About
I have started my career as a yoga teacher. I studied at the École Française de Yoga in Paris. This 4 years training course involved 900 hours of study alongside personal yoga practice. I successfully qualified in 1998.
Following a shoulder injury, I sought the help of an osteopath. Amazed by how effective and amazing the treatments were, I decided to study osteopathy. I graduated in 2010 from the London School of Osteopathy. I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and I am a member of the Institute of Osteopathy (Io).
After graduating, I carried on and still carry on improving my skills by attending postgraduate training in the field of Cranial Osteopathy, Kinesiology taping and Medical Acupuncture also known as dry needling. I am registered with the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS).
I also carried on developing my understanding and knowledge of body movements to further help my patients. I trained with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute and studied all mat works and equipment levels of Pilates. I also successfully trained with Movement Solution for rehabilitation.
More recently, I studied at the British Academy of Sound Therapy and gained a Practitioner Level Diploma as a Sound Therapist. I have experienced how relaxing and healing gongs, drums and Himalayan bowls are when used properly. I wanted to be able to use this transformative therapy for some projects I am working on.
In a similar frame of mind, I studied hypnotherapy with Hypnotic Solutions Training in UK to help individuals transform their lives and achieve their goals. I gained a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and I am registered with the General Hypnotherapy Council (GHR) and the National Guild of Hypnosis (NGH).
I have obtained a Diploma in Hypno-Psychotherapy having studied with the National College of Hypno-Psychotherapy in London as I was drawn to deepen even further my knowledge and understanding of the various theories that are used in different approaches to psychotherapy.
I am currently working towards gaining my accreditation with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am already registered with the General Register of Hypnotherapy (GHR), National Society of Talking Therapies (NSTT) and the UKCP as a trainee.
I hold comprehensive professional indemnity insurance with the Institute of Osteopathy and Balens for Hypno-Psychotherapy.
Even though I work full-time as an Osteopath and Hypno-Psychotherapist (and towards my accreditation with UKCP and BACP), I have a passion for learning. I have obtained an Advanced Diploma in Aromatherapy. Additionally, I enrolled in weekend courses to expand my knowledge in massage techniques such as Thai massage, lymphatic massage, and hot and cold stone massages. I find all of these therapies to be highly stimulating and I am committed to providing my clients with the best possible treatments and approaches for their mental and physical health.
